Enter At Your Own Risk
Have you ever gotten mad at the UPS guy,who rings your door bell during nap time? What about those people who stop by for a visit announced?
Well today we were having a crazy lazy Saturday, and we had some uninvited guest. The visit was actually quite pleasant other than the fact that my family was all in pajamas, the house was a mess, and my daughter had a high fiber breakfast and was loudly spreading a toxic aroma as she ran around the room at top speed. I always wonder what people think when they leave on days like that. Please tell me you have crazy lazy days too. Once my embarrassment faded, I started thinking that guests really shouldn't just show up. Especially when they are visiting families with kids. You never know what you could be walking into.
On the other hand, I tend to be a spontaneous person. I have never been a big planner. So maybe it is quite hypocritical of me to feel this way about my unannounced guest. I actually like surprises.
What are you feelings about unexpected guests? Is your house always ready for visitors?

I just stay holed up in my house, and refuse to answer the door!
I love crazy, lazy Saturdays & I hate unexpected surprises. I figure those unexpected guests kinda have a dirty house comin' if they don't give me notice. ;)
I hate unexpected visitors. Like Kristina, I hide and don't answer the door.
When I first got married my hubby would never answer the door and it took me a while to realize that it's ok, so yeah I'm like the other gals and usually just don't answer the door.
In fact just last week the Schwans man came to my door at like 10am on the dot. I was still in my pj's (aka no bra) and my kids answered the door. ACK! I about died.
I think if you're doing more than dropping something off (like you don't need to entered someones house) then you should absolutely not drop in.
Haha high fiber breakfast.
Too funny! I can't say much as I usually drop by unannounced, but thought that I should change my ways. I usually don't get unexpected visitors, but when I do I am usually embarrassed by my messy house.
