Chasing the Dream

Chase the Impossible Dream
(You just might catch it.)
I don't know if I have blogged about my goal to write a novel or not. I don't feel like I have. I have commented with others about this goal but I don't recall saying it on my own blog. So yeah that is my dream... my goal, my obsession at the moment. I know my characters, I know their story, yet part of me is hesitant to put finger to key and type it out. I'm afraid to fail. But if you don't chase the dream it will definitely get away. At least making an effort means I have a chance. So here is to chasing the dream.

Or like Nickelback says, "That first step you take is the longest stride."

The first step is always the hardest. Go for it. You can do it!

I second LT's motion! Go for it, you can only fail if you don't try. I know you can do it.

Chase the dream! I know you can! Believe me, your life will never be the same once you do. It's such an awesome thing when you finally give in and allow the call to write take over! Good luck! Jenni

Writing is the most difficult, emotional, frustrating experience that you can embark on. It's intensely personal and yet the usual goal is to share it with the world where it will be judged and dissected.

There are days I want to throw my computer out the door and I question why I ever started this, or why I thought I would be able to do it.

And then there are the days that keep you coming back. The days that you just know you nailed the characters emotion in a scene, or the days that someone reads it and tells you the love it. Hold on to those days and savor them and you'll survive the rest.

Good luck!
