Today I am somewhat empty. I am missing Paris. It has been almost a year since my brief visit and I am craving a sequel. No matter how many chocolate bars and croissants I eat, I just can't recreate that feeling of joy I felt every time I stepped into the Parisian streets, the cafes, the museums.
When you finish a great book with compelling setting and lovable characters it is hard to accept that it is over . You want there to be a sequel. You crave more. Your heart can't adjust to the truth that you must return to reality. You feel somewhat empty.
How do you return to reality?

It takes me a while to return to normal. I've never been to Paris but my sister has and the way you describe it, she feels that same way.

Oh, hun...you are making ME miss Paris, and I've never been there! Sad. I hope that you can go back really, really soon. Better yet...Let's find our husbands jobs there. ;)
I agree with Meagan. I've never been to Paris, and every time I visit your blog on Wednesday's, I miss it. You do a great job sharing it's beauty and inspiration.

It always takes me a few days to get over a good book. It's almost like breaking up.

I loved Paris. I've been there twice. Once at nineteen and once two years ago. It's a great city.
I can see why you miss it.
I know just how you feel. Gertrude Stien too! I like your idea of setting aside one day a week for memories, musings & inspirations from France. I will stop back again on a Wednesday.
So here's my question. Did you love Paris ALOT before you went to visit or did you fall in love with it a bunch while you were there? I've never been one to want to do world traveling (the language barrier scares me) so I'm always curious what interests other people.

I have a hard time letting go as well. Especially when it is something as good as Paris. :)
I feel you. I went to the UK last fall and find myself wishing I could return sooner than later.
Real life bites sometimes, doesn't it? Especially when it's not in Paris or London...
